SERMON HIGHLIGHTS
IT'S ALL IN THE FRUIT - 2/8/2026
Scripture Focus:
Galatians 5:22–25
“ 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”
— Galatians 5:22-25
SERMON HIGHLIGHTS
In this season of healing, recalibration, and spiritual maturity, God is calling us to be deeper by praying more, studying scripture and developing good fruit, which is found in the Holy Spirit
Galatians reminds us that the true evidence of a Spirit-filled life is not position, performance, or personality, it’s fruit.
The Holy Spirit calls us to:
- Bear fruit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control
- Crucify the flesh that do not serve God’s purpose
- Walk in the Spirit daily
As we journey through this life, nonbelievers are watching:
how we love, how we speak, and how we walk together in unity.
And when a church truly walks in the Spirit, Revival doesn’t have to be announced it becomes evident.
Because at the end of the day it’s all in the fruit.
WHEN GLORY FILLS THE HOUSE - 2/3/2026
Scripture Focus:
Isaiah 6:1
SERMON HIGHLIGHTS
On Sunday morning during the worship experience, we reflected on the message “When the Glory Fills the House.”
“The year King Uzziah died I saw the Lord! He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the Temple was filled with his glory.”
— Isaiah 6:1 (TLB)
We highlighted the song “They Don’t Care About Us” by Michael Jackson to name a painful reality saying what it feels like when people are overlooked and compassion disappears.
Isaiah begins his vision in that same atmosphere of loss:“In the year that King Uzziah died…”
Leadership had failed. The nation was grieving. The house felt empty. But then everything changed.
Isaiah said, “I saw the Lord.” And the train of His robe filled the temple.
Where care was absent God filled the house with His glory.
The glory that:
- Confronted hardened hearts
- Brought cleansing and healing
- Created a calling
Then God asked the question, “Whom shall I send?” Isaiah responded,
“Here am I. Send me.”
The world may cry, “They don’t care about us,” but God answers by filling His house and sending His people.
GOD WITH US: LIGHT FOR A WAITING PEOPLE
THE KING IS COMING- GET READY TO BE INSPIRED! - 12/7/2025
Scripture Focus:
Luke 2:10-11
SERMON HIGHLIGHTS
As we celebrate the Advent season, we are reminded that God does His greatest work when the world is least prepared. When we feel unready, God is already moving. When we are overwhelmed, He is orchestrating. When we feel forgotten, He is arranging divine encounters. The birth of Jesus proves that Heaven moves even when Earth is unaware.
“ But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.”
— Luke 2:10
Key Points:
Earthly kings require pageantry; Heaven’s King requires obedience.
While nations decorate and dignitaries prepare for earthly royalty, Jesus entered a world that made no room or special preparations for Him. Yet, God does not need human preparation to release and reveal divine purpose.
While Bethlehem was busy, Heaven was aligning miracles.
God does His best work in unlikely places.
Mary was tired, uncomfortable, and far from home—yet God chose that moment to bring forth the Savior.
Your life does not have to be perfect for God to birth something powerful in you. Our Savior was born in a stable; breakthrough can come through difficulty.
Heaven prepares what the earth cannot see
- While the world slept, angels rehearsed, a star aligned, shepherds gathered, and prophecy converged. God often works quietly before He works visibly and obviously.
- The days before Christ’s birth looked ordinary, but Heaven was writing history.
4. When the world says “no room,” God says, “I’ll move there!”
- A stable became a sanctuary; a manger became a throne.
- God specializes in taking what is “not enough” and making it more than enough.
- Your blessing does not depend on human approval; God Himself makes room for you.
5. The world wasn’t ready for a King, but God sent One anyway.
- Jesus came into chaos to bring calm. He came into disorder to bring destiny. He entered into darkness to bring deliverance.
- You don’t have to be perfect for God to bless you; you just have to be present.
The first time He came, He arrived humbly as a servant of God.
The next time He comes, He will arrive in ALL POWER & GLORY! He’s coming as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Prepare your heart.
Prepare your worship.
Prepare your faith.
Prepare your life.
A PROMISE WORTH WAITING FOR - 11/30/2025
Scripture Focus:
Isaiah 9:2-7
SERMON HIGHLIGHTS
Advent begins not with celebration, but with longing. Israel sat in darkness waiting for a Savior, just as we wait for God to move in our circumstances. But God’s first gift of Advent is hope—not optimism, but assurance that what God promised, God will perform.
“The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness
a light has dawned.” — Isaiah 9:2
Isaiah prophesied light before the light arrived.
That’s what faith looks like:
believing and trusting in God while the world is still dark.
TRANSFORMED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT - 11/8/2025
Scripture Focus:
Romans 12:2
Yield to the Holy Spirit because He gives believers the power that they need.
SERMON HIGHLIGHTS
On Sunday, we learned about listening to the Holy Spirit, which empowers believers. We are reminded to seek and yield to the Holy Spirit. He gives believers the power to live, the power to stand, and the power to speak. Without the Spirit, our efforts fall short; with Him, we can do all things through Christ.
As believers, we must stop relying on our human strength and start relying on spiritual power.
The Holy Spirit renews the mind. Romans 12:2 reminds us that transformation begins in our thinking.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” — Romans 12:2
The Holy Spirit changes our perspective, purifies our motives, and positions us to do God’s will. When our minds are renewed, we no longer conform to the world’s standards but live according to the Spirit’s leading.
Continue to walk through this series with us, as we seek to embody the spiritual blueprint for victorious living.
Let’s learn together and remind ourselves that the Holy Spirit empowers our witness, guides our walk, strengthens our worship, and transforms our world. When the church is Spirit-filled, the church becomes unstoppable.
Phillips Chapel CME Church is reminded that revival doesn’t begin with a program; it begins with believers filled with the Spirit of God!
GOD'S JUSTICE IS A WARNING & A PROMISE - 10/19/2025
Scripture Focus:
Isaiah 1:17
Isaiah 10:1-3
Isaiah 10:1-3
Isaiah 11:4
God’s justice stands as both a warning to the wicked and a promise of hope to the faithful.
SERMON HIGHLIGHTS
In a world where injustice seems to sit in high places — where truth is twisted, the poor are overlooked, and power is abused — Isaiah reminds us that God still reigns. His justice may seem delayed, but it is never denied.
God calls His people not only to believe in justice but to live it:
“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed.” — Isaiah 1:17
Even when systems fail, God’s justice will prevail.
He will right every wrong, defend the powerless, and hold the proud accountable. For the faithful who stand for righteousness, His justice is not something to fear, it’s something to hope for.
Three Main Points:
God’s justice exposes hidden wrongdoing. Nothing escapes His sight
(Isaiah 10:1–3).
God’s justice protects the faithful and He defends those who walk in truth
(Isaiah 11:4).
God’s justice restores righteousness — What sin destroys, God will make right again.
Evil may seem to triumph for a moment, but God’s judgment is sure, and His mercy endures forever.
Stand firm, do right, and trust that the same God who sees injustice will also bring deliverance.
COURAGE UNDER FIRE - 10/12/2025
Scripture Focus:
Daniel 3:16-18
“16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter.
17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand.
18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
Daniel 3:13-18
SERMON HIGHLIGHTS
The most powerful man of the era was King Nebuchadnezzar, who demanded that everyone bow to his golden statue.
Three young men — Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego — stood firm in their faith, declaring,
“The God we serve is able to deliver us… but even if He doesn’t, we still won’t bow.”
That’s real faith — trusting God even when the outcome is uncertain. They were punished and thrown into the fire, but God stepped in! The king saw four men walking in the flames — the fourth looked like the Son of God.
God may not keep you from the fire, but He’ll walk with you through it.

Hebrews 11:6 (ESV)
SERMON HIGHLIGHTS
In this passage, a desperate father cried out to Jesus, “I do believe; help my unbelief!” — and that was the turning point. Jesus cast out the demon and restored the child to health. Great restoration starts with great faith!
